After a horrifying experience with a couple whom I found on Craig's List - who claimed they were house and pet sitters - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Critter Sitters. I now appreciate the difference between a professional LICENSED pet-sitting service and someone who's just doing it to make some extra cash or because they are desperate for a place to stay.
I will never make that mistake again. As I wrote (emailed) to them on our trip - I missed our dogs terribly, but did not worry about them for a moment. That comfort is priceless.

Pet Sitting Rates
IN-HOME VISITS:
A 30 minute visit to your home to feed, water, scoop pet litter, play with and/or brush your pet.
1-2 Pets - $20-$25 per visit depending on distance.
Each Additional Pet - Add $5
Plants Watered - First 10 included at no charge with pet visit.
(Excess amount or Plants Only) $15 per 30 minutes
Late Reservations (less than a week's notice) Add $5
Last Minute Reservation (Less than 72 hours notice) Add $10
After Hours Visits - Visits that occur before 7 am or after 8 pm - Add $10 per visit
Holiday Visits - A surcharge may be added for the following days: New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day, Easter Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. $10 additional.
Pet Taxi and Errands (ie: Visits to Vet, Groomer, etc. $25 one way or $50 average per round trip depending on time & distance. Additional mileage may increase cost.
OVERNIGHT PET SITTING
One of our licensed, bonded & insured pet sitters will spend the night in your home and give your pet one-on-one live-in attention. Overnights are approx. 12-hours (usually 7:30 pm - 7:30 am). One or two pets: $65-75 per night depending on distance. Each additional pet: add $10. Prices are approximate and may vary with distance and details of job. (For example, pets that require medicines or specially prepared/cooked foods.)
Home Services
Home Security Check (no pets)
We"ll Bring in your mail, newspaper(s), water plants, rotate lights, put out / bring in trash cans, etc. Depending on distance: $20-$25 per visit.
Lock Out/Key Delivery
If you happen to lock yourself out and we have a key on file, we"ll come out to your house and unlock your door for you. Depending on distance: $20-$25 ($30 after 7pm)
Miscellaneous Charges
Key Pick Up/Drop off: $15 per trip (if not provided at time of contract or not kept on file) |

I have been using (Pet Suites) pet sitting service for many years.
I also started using them for my grooming needs and they do an
excellent job with my 2 German Shepherds - as they did also with my two
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who have since passed on.

Due to popular
demand and limited availability of our pet boarding suites, pet sitters, and trainer - as well as our our
higher average of personel-to-pet ratio (and resulting payroll) - a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your space and/or reserve your dates. If you must cancel for any
reason, you can apply your deposit to future boarding, grooming,
training, or other services - or use it in our retail boutique - for up to ONE YEAR.
